If you like to sunbathe then Tenerife is for you! Beautiful beaches with golden sand in the tourist resorts of Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, Playa de Las Teresitas, La Tejita, El Duque. But there are always a lot of people there ... And my favorite - natural beaches with black sand, gravel, rocks and rocks: Playa de Benijo, Masca, Los Gigantes, Playa El Bollullo.
Below are photographs with descriptions and marked locations on the maps. I also recommend spherical photos.

The most beautiful beaches in Tenerife
Playa de las Teresitas is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Tenerife. It is located in the north of the island, near the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The beach is about 1.5 kilometers long and 60 meters wide and is covered with golden sand brought from the Sahara. Even though I am not a fan of beaches, I really liked this one. It is large and spacious, with beautiful sand and a breakwater. And most importantly for me, it has palm trees, in the shade of which you can hide from the scorching sun. In addition, there are showers, bars, toilets, lifeguards, and something I couldn't believe - a large free parking lot, where even on a day off we found a place without much trouble. For me, it is the most beautiful and best-guarded beach in Tenerife.
Beaches in the north of Tenerife
The north of Tenerife is known for its wild nature, volcanic landscapes and beautiful natural beaches. Playa de Benijo is one of the most picturesque beaches on Tenerife. It is located in the Anaga Natural Park. The beach is surrounded by high cliffs and has black volcanic sand. It is a popular spot for surfing and snorkeling.
Tenerife's most iconic beaches
Playa del Duque is one of the most popular and well-known beaches on Tenerife. It is located in the southern part of the island, in the town of Costa Adeje. The beach is about 1 kilometer long and 50 meters wide. It has golden sand and calm, gentle waves. Playa del Duque is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing. The beach is also popular with families with children. The beach is located next to some of the most exclusive hotels and restaurants on Tenerife, so if you don't want to spend a fortune on lunch, it's worth bringing something to eat and drink with you.
Costa Adeje is a popular resort on the south coast of Tenerife. The city offers many attractions, including beautiful beaches. The most popular beaches in Costa Adeje are Playa de Fañabé (you can see in this photo), Playa del Duque, and Playa de Las Américas. The beaches in Costa Adeje offer many attractions. You can enjoy water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, and sailing. There are restaurants, bars, and shops on the beaches, so you can find everything you need for a full day. The beaches are well-guarded by lifeguards and you can feel safe there. If you are looking for a beautiful and comfortable beach on Tenerife, Costa Adeje is a great choice.
Windsurfing and kitesurfing in Tenerife
Playa de El Médano is one of the most popular beaches on the south coast of Tenerife. It is located very close to the airport in the town of El Médano. The beach is about 1.5 kilometers long and about 50 meters wide. Playa de El Médano is a popular spot for water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, and surfing. Strong winds that blow in this area all year round make it ideal for these sports. There are many water sports rental companies, surfing schools, a camper van park, and hotels located near the beach. Playa de El Médano is also a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is also well-guarded by lifeguards, so you can feel safe there. There are many restaurants, bars, and shops located directly on the beach, so you can find everything you need for a full day.
Playa de El Médano is an ideal place for relaxation and fun. It is a popular beach, but it is not as crowded as some other beaches on Tenerife. The beach has a gentle slope into the sea, making it a safe place for children and non-swimmers. Walking along the ocean, you can admire interesting rock formations. If you are looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to relax on Tenerife, Playa de El Médano is an excellent choice.
Tenerife is a volcanic island, but despite this, its coast is home to many beautiful beaches with white sand. Here are a few of them: Playa de Las Teresitas, Playa de El Médano, Playa del Duque, and Playa de Torviscas. Playa de Torviscas is a popular, supervised beach on the south of the island, located in the town of Costa Adeje. It has light, gray sand and crystal-clear water. It is one of the longest and widest beaches on Tenerife. Its length is about 0.5 kilometers, and its width is about 50 meters. Playa de Torviscas is an ideal place to relax and sunbathe. There are sunbed and umbrella rentals, as well as restaurants, bars, and shops on the beach.

A natural swimming pool in Los Gigantes
You can find such natural pools in many places on the coast of the Canary Islands. A breakwater made of rocks or concrete separates the bay from the ocean. You can see in the picture: Piscina Natural Acantilado D in Los Gigantes.
A small beach with black sand and an amazing view of the giant cliffs.
When I see such black sand on the beach, it always seems to me that the clothing or towel will be black :-)
Beach with golden sand at the tourist resort of Los Cristianos at Playa de las Americas. The south of Tenerife is much warmer and more sunny from the north. Waves in the ocean are also much smaller here.
Beaches in Tenerife and other Canary Islands are often hidden behind a rocky breakwater.
Playa de Benijo in the north of Tenerife is definitely a beach for photographers! Amazing landscapes, rocky coast and huge waves!
Playa de Masca - a black beach under huge rocky cliffs - you can walk through the Masca gorge (description in the gallery: Gorge of Masca Trekking, Tenerife) or you can get here by boat or yacht.
It's an ocean and you can see it by the size of the waves! Waves of over 2 meters high appeared suddenly.
Beach and harbor in Playa San Juan
Playa San Juan is a less touristy place on the west coast of the island. A beach with natural black sand and very few people.
Beach at the harbor of San Juan
A quiet little town with a fishing port. I like such places where there are not many tourists.
A beach in a bay and a view of La Gomera
An evening walk and admiring the sunset behind the island of La Gomera. Evenings in Tenerife in November were very warm - usually it was over 20°C - once even over 25°C.

We stayed here:
Hotel Blue Sea Lagos De Cesar, Tenerife
Calle José González González
38683 Santiago, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Canary Islands, Tenerife, Spain
The main advantage of this hotel was the location close to interesting places in Tenerife: Los Gigantes, Masca Gorge and good access to Teide Volcano.
The hotel is very clean, there were no insects :-) and the biggest advantage of the room we received was its size - it was a 3 bedroom studio: living room with balcony, bathroom with bathtub, twin bedroom and big wardrobe and an extra room with single bed.
