Summer and Winter walk with a camera to find the medieval settlement on a peninsula on the lake Godziszewskie. We started from the cemetery in Godziszewo, passed in Godziszewo beach and the road along the lake we went at the end of the peninsula. This time the pictures made by drone Mavic Air (Summer) and phone LG 4G (Winter).
The Godziszewskie Lake in Kociewie in Poland is a gutter lake with a length of 5 km and a maximum width of 0.5 km. The maximum depth is 24 m. There you can see two piers by the beach "Czapla Góra" in a photo taken from the north near the Godziszewo village. I recommend a spherical photo where you can see the village, the lake and the surrounding area.

The settlement on the peninsula
The settlement is located at the end of the peninsula. There you can see an oval shape at the end of the land. I like to look for settlements - there are always beautiful and often inaccessible locations. In the next photos you can see a reportage from our winter trip during which we found this early medieval settlement.

For the first time, we visited the settlement on the peninsula on Lake Godziszewskie in the winter. We started our search in Godziszewo. From the parking at the cemetery we went to the beach in Godziszewo.

At the end of the peninsula in front of the road there were 8-meter high embankments medieval settlement.

Behind defensive rampart extends the settlement area surrounded on three sides by the waters of the lake - a perfect place to live and defense.

Beach - Czapla Góra (Heron Mountain)
After seeing the settlement came back at around through the forest and then again on the beach to the car. The whole walk took about two hours.
