Milan (Milano) is the second largest town in Italy and you will see this city size as soon as you arrive at the main railway station - Stazione Milano Centrale. The terminal is really huge! We came to Milan by train from Bergamo - the journey for about 5 euros took less than an hour. We left the station and went to explore the city.

Stazione di Milano Centrale is the largest train station in Milan. We arrived here from Bergamo. From here we also traveled to Como. The size of the station is impressive - it looks like an airport.

We went through a modern office district (The Centro Direzionale di Milano) on the way to our apartment.

Bosco Verticale (in translation means vertical forest) are two apartment buildings 111 and 76 meters high in the Porta Nuova district of Milan. Over 900 trees were planted on both buildings.

The Victor Emmanuel II Gallery
One of the most famous shopping centers in Europe, and maybe even in the world - The Victor Emmanuel II Gallery. I always have resistance to calling stores as galleries but in this case this amazing combination of art and trade is really impressive.

Milan by night
Night photo of the fountain in Piazza Castello in front of the Sforza Castle. If you like photographing cities at night, bring a tripod with you to take some long exposure photos.
Milan by night looks grea - colorful lights on the walls of the Sforzesco Castle.
Piazza del Duomo
With the evening walk we end our short tour of Milan. Two days is very little time for this huge city. But on the other hand, such large agglomerations are tiring ... millions of people, thousands of cars, motorbikes, bicycles ... rush and crowds everywhere ... time to run away and calm down. Last look at the Cathedral and the square Piazza del Duomo and we go to the apartment to pack because the next day we are going to the lake in the mountains - to Como.
