Hel is a very interesting city with an amazing history: a fortress on the island, Vikings, a sunken town, fortifications on the coast, war, port, army, fishermen, tourists ... it is worth reading about the Hel Peninsula, which several hundred years ago was an archipelago of several islands. It also gives to thinking the history of Old Hel, which disappeared under the waters of the Puck Bay.

There is a very interesting Fisheries Museum in the church in Hel near the port.

Wiejska Street is a walking street in Hel with many shops with souvenirs, clothes, food and numerous bars and restaurants. In summer it is very busy but in the off-season it is completely quiet and peaceful.
The city of Hel is situated in a vast pine forest. I like walking around the city because in the dunes and nearby hiking trails you can find amazing trees and great photo landscapes.
Evening at the end of the Hel Peninsula with a view of the beach and the city.
Autumn view of the center of Hel. In the foreground you can see the former church, which now houses the Fisheries Museum. You can see more photos from this amazing place in the galleries: Hel Peninsula and Tourist attractions - Hel Poland.
