A tourist town on the west coast of Tenerife. There are hotels, apartments, beaches, coastal walkways and very close to Los Gigantes. If you do not like the crazy crowd of tourists, shopping and partying until the morning, this is the perfect place for a quiet holiday.
Below is a photo gallery and several spherical pictures from Puerto de Santiago in Tenerife. More photos and other interesting places on the island: Tenerife - tourist attractions.
It is a typical tourist town - there are a lot of hotels, apartments, restaurants and bars here. You can see the apartments by the port and the Barceló Santiago hotel at the top of this photo.
There you can find a lot of interesting places to photograph in Tenerife and other Canary Islands. I like to photograph architecture - it's great fun with perspective and composition.
Black pebble beaches and rocky coves - most of the coast in Tenerife looks like this.
A small beach in a bay and a bar with snacks, coffee and drinks right next to it - a cool place to relax with great music!
Evening view of the bay, Playa Chica beach and the city city located on cliffs and rocks.
The Canary Islands are created for rest and relax. Here is the Endless Summer! You can explore, go to the mountains, the beach, do water sports, go fishing, go on a cruise in search of whales, orbs and dolphins ...
Colorful houses in the Canary Islands - it looks cool.
The city is on the west coast of the island - an ideal location for watching the sunsets.
The weather in Puerto de Santiago was beautiful in November - such a warm summer - temperature around 24-27 degrees, a little clouds in the sky and a light wind. View from Playa Chica beach in the photo.
Puerto de Santiago and Los Gigantes is really one town. You will not even notice when you move from one to the other.
I admire the courage of these people - they sail with such small boats to the endless ocean. That land which can be seen in the picture is another Canary Island - La Gomera.
Beautifully lighted town and coast at sunset. The promenade along the ocean leads to Los Gigantes.
Colorful houses built on a rock on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
A view of the cliffs and the town of Los Gigantes. On the right you can see solidified volcanic rocks.
View from the Mirador Los Gigantes observation deck onto the cliffs, the town and the natural swimming pool Piscina Natural Acantilado de Los Gigantes.
There is La Gomera Island on the horizon! Such a different look above the roofs ...

We stayed here:
Calle José González González
38683 Santiago, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Canary Islands, Tenerife, Spain
The main advantage of this hotel was the location close to interesting places in Tenerife: Los Gigantes, Masca Gorge and good access to Teide Volcano.
The hotel is very clean, there were no insects :-) and the biggest advantage of the room we received was its size - it was a 3 bedroom studio: living room with balcony, bathroom with bathtub, twin bedroom and big wardrobe and an extra room with single bed.
