I like to visit Gdańsk in the evening when the city is sparkling with a million lights. Since I use a drone for photography, I always try to choose windless weather for night photos. When there is no wind, the drone can stop in place even for a few seconds. Such conditions allow for taking pictures at the lowest possible ISO, and as a result, high-quality sharp photos without noise. The quality of the photos is so good that you can easily make large prints and photo wallpapers. I invite you to watch the night photos from Gdańsk and order prints.

The island of Granaries in the evening time
The illuminated buildings on the Granary Island look like a mirror in the inky waters of the Motława River.
There is the Main Town (Główne Miasto) in the photo. It is the most visited district of Gdańsk. There you can see the most famous monuments: St. Mary's Basilica, the Town Hall, the Crane, City Gates, the Armory, and numerous museums and other tourist attractions.

The Old Town in Gdańsk is the part of Śródmieście located north of the Main Town and is the oldest area of the city. You may be surprised by the fact that this is not the historic district (Main Town) known to everyone, where you can see: St. Mary's Basilica, Crane, Artus Court, Golden Gate, Neptune Fountain and the most famous streets: Długa, Mariacka, Piwna.
The Old Town was largely destroyed during World War II, but still many monuments can be admired here: the Old Town Hall from 1589, the medieval Great Mill, the Gothic Small Mill, the Gdańsk Główny Railway Station, the Church of St. Catherine, Basilica of St. Bridget.

What to see in Gdansk at night?
Gdańsk at night is a magical place full of attractions. It's worth starting your evening with a stroll through the charming Old Town and along the Motława River promenade, admiring the illuminated landmarks. On Granary Island, you'll find cozy restaurants and cafés, perfect for a romantic dinner. You can also visit the Baltic Philharmonic or take a ride on the Ferris wheel to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the city's nighttime panorama. Nightlife enthusiasts can head to clubs, bars, and discos, where the fun lasts until dawn.

Gdańsk Wrzeszcz in the evening
An evening in Wrzeszcz and a view of Aleja Grunwaldzka and the Neptun Business Center. This 18-storey building was built in 2014 and is the second tallest building in Gdańsk.
The world seen from above often surprises me with its graphic appearance. Photos taken with the camera positioned vertically down (the so-called top-down) are often interesting because the views from this perspective are unknown to us. I like to look like this while flying a drone - you can see what the birds see :-)
Galeria Bałtycka (Baltic Gallery) in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz on a Saturday afternoon in March. This is one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Gdańsk ... I wonder where the name of this gallery comes from since it is a shopping center ...
The top view of the car park located on the roof of the building looks like a frame from a science fiction movie. Only flying cars are missing and it would be Blade Runner 2023 :-)
Parking on the roof of Galeria Bałtycka
There is a large two-level car park for 1,100 cars on the top floors of Galeria Bałtycka.
Shopping center in Gdansk Wrzeszcz
Galeria Bałtycka is one of the largest shopping centers in Gdańsk, located in the Wrzeszcz district. The shopping center offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Among the shops you can find both well-known chains and boutiques with luxury brands.
The railway station in Wrzeszcz is an important transport hub, serving mainly rail and bus connections. There are four platforms at the station: two for SKM (Quick City Rail) trains and two for long-distance trains. The following trains stop at the station: SKM, passenger, Regio, TLK, IC, EIC (Express Intercity) and Pendolino - (EIP Express Intercity Premium). There is an entrance to the Metropolia Shopping Center from the platforms.
Grunwaldzka Avenue in Gdansk Wrzeszcz
Evening view of Aleja Grunwaldzka in Wrzeszcz. In the distance, behind the railway tracks, you can see a large residential district of Gdańsk - Zaspa. Every time I drove past these houses on an island between the streets, I wondered what it was like to live there...

Thousands of lights, a carousel, an elk head telling jokes, sweets, delicacies, hot drinks and many other attractions are waiting for you at the Christkindlmarkt in Gdańsk.

Evening view of Waly Jagiellońskie - one of the main streets in the city center of Gdansk. The roundabout and the intersection of Wały Jagiellońskie and Hucisko Street visible in the photo are considered to be the central point of the city.
A night view of Błędnik Street with the overpass above the railway tracks in Gdańsk.
Gdansk - photos from the drone
I really like photographing Gdańsk from a drone. When I fly above the roofs of tenement houses, the city shows me a completely different face. In the evening, when the street lamps and lights in the windows turn on, the view is even more interesting than during the day.
Dluga Street (Long street) leads from the Golden Gate to the Neptune Fountain. This is probably the most frequently visited part of Gdańsk by tourists.
The evening is coming in Gdańsk. This is the best time for night shots when the street lamps come on but it's not completely dark yet.
