Tourist attractions in the north of Lanzarote. Day tour of interesting places in the north of the island. Our route: Costa Teguise - Mirador del Rio - Volcano La Corona - caves Cueva de los Verdes - Jameos del Agua - Jardin de Cactus - beach Playa Famara - Costa Teguise. November morning in Costa Teguise - perfect weather - warm (about 24 degrees Celsius), a slightly cloudy sky and a gentle breeze.
Weather in Lanzarote in November surprised us with high temperatures (often above 25 deg. C) and very warm evenings - just like in the summer!
The road from Costa Teguise to the Mirador del Rio leads past the highest hill in Lanzarote - La Corona volcano with a height of 609 m above the sea level
Volcano La Corona 609 (m asl) is located in the northern part of the island. It is the highest point on Lanzarote.
Mirador del Rio is one of the interesting places on the island. It should come here to admire the panorama of the island of La Graciosa. Admission fee is 9 euros. You can buy a ticket at a discount to several attractions. This ticket has a validity of 7 or 14 days.
When we arrived at the lookout point Mirador del Rio summit of the mountain was in the clouds. We went down the asphalt road along the cliff, and after a few meters we saw the amazing landscape.

Weather in Lanzarote in November
Lanzarote In November, the weather was nice and the ideal temperature - 24-28 degrees. C - the summer but not too hot - a great place to catch the sun in the autumn!
Caleta del Sebo from Mirador del Rio
Caleta del Sebo is the main town and capital of La Graciosa Island in the Canary Islands. To see La Graciosa you can take a boat from Orzola in Lanzarote - a very nice trip - I will describe in another gallery.
The entrance to the cave Cueva de los Verdes - you need to be careful that you do not miss this attraction - next to a large parking lot is a rock with the name.
We go to the volcanic cave. The corridors in the cave in many places are very huge. The caves have a length of more than 6 km but to explore available is approximately 2 kilometers. Visiting time is less than an hour.
Caves and tunnels in the lava is one of the most interesting places on the island. Guided tour (talks in English, Spanish and German) takes less than an hour.
Cueva de los Verdes, Lanzarote
The cave Cueva de los Verdes is one of the most interesting tourist attractions on Lanzarote. Narrow corridors and huge caves make a huge impression.
The lava tunnels are highlighted and at the end of the tourist route, about 50 meters below the ground, there is a scene and a small concert hall. The acoustics of the place is amazing.

Tunnels and caves formerly served the residents of the island to hide from pirates.
Jameos del Aqua is another interesting tourist destination. It is located within one kilometer from the Cueva de los Verdes toward the coast. It is a further part of the same volcanic tunnel with an underground lake, bar, café, restaurant, pool and concert hall. The ticket costs 9 euros - you can get cheaper combined ticket.
Cave Jameos del Agua is located inside one of the longest volcanic tunnels in the world, which was created during the eruption of the volcano La Corona. In the natural lake in the cave there are over a dozen endemic species - including the famous blind albino crabs (Munidopsis polymorpha).

Jameos del Agua is the first work of artists from Lanzarote Cesar Manirique - thanks to him, the island looks so beautiful and all the tourist attractions are perfectly integrated in nature.

Jameos del Aqua is one of the interesting places that are worth seeing. The volcanic caves (Tunnel de la Atlantida) artist Cesar Manirique designed garden, a concert hall and a museum of volcanoes (Casa de los Volcanes).
Lanzarote has the perfect climate for cacti. In the garden, Jardin de Cactus, you can see more than 1,000 species of cactus.

The time that should be provided for this attraction according to me about an hour - no need to hurry - should come and see everything exactly.
Lanzarote weather was perfect for me in October and November - not too hot nor too cold - perfect climate!
