Early spring, May and autumn in Kętrzyn, Poland. Beautiful sunny spring days, misty and rainy autumn evenings, amazing light, interesting architecture, magic colors, city life and a photo walk in cool company - Olympus filming and shooting... Creative weekends in Masuria. The photos in this gallery were created using the LG 4G phone and Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. I also invite you to watch the city from a different perspective: Kętrzyn - photos from above.
Town Hall in Kętrzyn - a brick building in the eclectic style built in 1885-1886.
Kętrzyn in May is very nice - there is a lake and green around ... you can sit by the water, run or ride a bike ...

Photographic events in Kętrzyn
Photographic events take place in the city. It's nice!
I like such districts and houses - they have their own style ...
There is color, there are flowers, there is joy and positive energy
Collegiate Church of St. George in Ketrzyn. Walls, observation tower - looks more like a castle than a church ... You must see this amazing monument because it is the best preserved defense church in Masuria.
The sun shines on the beautiful historic tenement house at Józef Piłsudski Square.
Ketrzyn is a city full of colors for me. I also liked the interesting combination of architecture from different eras.
A lake in the city! There is a quite big Górne Lake in the center of Kętrzyn. A great place to relax!
Night photography in Kętrzyn - this is an interesting place, especially when the fog appears ...
Photographing Kętrzyn at night, in the autumn with light rain and rising fog ... Photo of Saint George's Church in Kętrzyn (Brick Gothic Style).
A night walk and sightseeing in Kętrzyn. There is the Armia Krajowa (Home Army) Square with a monument and a Collegiate Church in the picture.
I liked it - there are some enthusiasts in this city :-) Some people like to play football and others to photograph :-)
Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II + Olympus M.Zuiko ED 12-100 mm f/4 IS PRO. It's a very good lens and perfect for trip in my opinion.
Surroundings of Kętrzyn and the great Oak
Amazing Oak by the road from Ketrzyn to Bartoszyce.
I went to Ketrzyn to visit a well-known Polish photographer in the first March weekend. Guess what Andrzej is photographing...
Wind power plants near Ketrzyn
There you can see a wind farm on the road from Bartoszyce to Ketrzyn. I liked the interesting combination of classic Polish dirt road, willows and wind turbines.
The weather was not spectacular on the way - gray sky, cloudy, rain ... but in Ketrzyn spring showed its magical sunny side. The colors just exploded ... anyway what a lot to write just look at the picture.
Buildings and historic garages of the District Office in Ketrzyn - view from the gate.
It is also worth visiting the courtyards where you can do a lot of climatic pictures while visiting this interesting Masurian city.
Architecture photography - that's What I like... Shapes, forms, colors, lights, shadows and the use of optical properties of lenses - fun of photography.
I like taking pictures in cities, especially where there are no crowds in the streets.
The colors, light and clarity of air in this beautiful cool day were unreal. Is it always so colorful? You can see the street of Powstańców Warszawy and the tower of St. Catherine in the picture.
The town of Ketrzyn (Rastembork, Rastenburg, Rastanpils) is an interesting historical, architectural and photographic place on the map of Poland. You can see here the building of the City Hall from the back :-)
I like to explore the city in the photographic group because the photographer is a trip destroyer... he must come in everywhere, he is standing and waiting ... for the light ... for the cloud ... until someone leaves or until somebody comes ... It's kind of a massacre for people who do not take photos ...
The architecture, the pink balcony, the reflections in the glass and the light sliding off the roof to illuminate the gutter ... I like pictures that have lots of details to watch ...
Such places where you can see and feel the time always stop me ...
I like to walk out of the main streets and see the city from the backyard ...
City photo session - backstage
Andrzej Frankowski in action - nature of the city ...
Some people are surprised that I am photographing such places and do not understand what is nice in them ... maybe I'm strange but I like it ...

The next day was cloudy and rained ... Ketrzyn is a very interesting city I will definitely be back there - because this time I saw only a small part of what you can see there ...
