Snowy and cold winter has come to the Tri-City this year. That is why I waited for the day when the snow had stopped falling, the wind had calmed down a bit, the frost had slightly eased away, and the sun came out from behind the clouds and I flew over Gdynia. I invite you to watch winter pictures from this beautiful coastal city. See more photos from Gdynia in the gallery: Gdynia from a bird's eye view.
It was a frosty day and, as it turned out, at the end of the South Pier, quite a windy day. Fingers ossified on the controller but how such snow-covered and frozen Gdynia appear on the screen... I had to fly :-)
Marina in Gdynia, winter photo
Here the drone had a bit of enough - the wind was strong. But the sight of this frozen marina and icy breakwater was mesmerizing.
This symbol of Gdynia can be seen from all over the city ... just fly over the roofs, aim in the right direction and the building is over there!
The snow-covered fountain on Kościuszko Square looks interesting :-)
Beach and cliff in Orłowo in the winter
Sunny but cold day on the beach in Gdynia Orłowo in the winter. You can see more photos from Orlowo in the gallery: Gdynia from a bird's eye view.
Winter view of Stone Mountain (Kamienna Góra) and the center of Gdynia.
South Pier and our two sailing ships: Dar Młodzieży and Dar Pomorza.
In winter, the city looks interesting from above ... it is so bright and sunny. Sea and sky harmonize so beautifully with the color on the horizon.
The afternoon sun shone wonderfully on the buildings at Kashubian Square (Plac Kaszubski). There are the quays of the Gdynia port in the distance.
Winter view of the port in Gdynia
The marina and the Port of Gdynia. Such port canals frozen in the winter sleep look strange.
The railway station and platforms in Gdynia Główna in a winter version.
Kościuszko Square, the South Pier and the classic "Róża Wiatrów"... there used to be parties there :-)
I've been flying the drone for almost an hour. Honestly, despite the sun it was cold. However, so much snow on the streets and the frozen port in Gdynia have been a rare sight in recent years, so I am glad that I managed to fit into the "weather window" and take these few photos.
