The direction of the settlement
You can see outline of rampart in a forest on the peninsula. Easily you can imagine how people lived here a thousand years ago.
The entrance to the settlement was protected by a high rampart. The ruins of the ramparts, you can see today.
The settlement on the peninsula, Przywidz
To appreciate the strategic location of the settlement, just look at the lake from a bird's eye view. The peninsula on which the settlement is located is an ideal place to live - surrounded on three sides by the waters of the lake and fenced off with a defensive wall from the mainland, it is also a perfect place to defend.
Lovely place to strongholds - a narrow peninsula on the lake. High shaft protect the village from the land side.
With a high rampart you see the road leading to the settlement. I really like this place. I can feel the energy here.
We come to Przywidz for walks very often at different times of the year. Here is a photo taken during an autumn morning walk to the settlement.
The road through the beech forest
Autumn view from the beech forest on the lake shore.
In addition to the remains of a stronghold on the peninsula, archaeologists have found traces of a fortified settlement also on this island.
The entire island on Lake Przywidz is under reserve protection. Nature rules here!
The island has an area of over 4.5 hectares. A beautiful and safe place to live.
I am often going to the forest, regardless of the weather - the sun or the rain or snow ... Nature is beautiful whatever the weather.
I recommend the gallery Kashubian Lake District where you can see more photos of the Przywidzkie Lake from a bird's eye view.
