After our summer visit to Olsztyn, I knew we would be back there again. When we started to wonder where to go for the long weekend in May, the direction was obvious - Olsztyn. Quick search for an apartment. Reservation in a tenement house in the old town. We were in Olsztyn after about 2 hours by car. Below you can see photos from our spring tour of Olsztyn.

The Old Town in Olsztyn, lit with the last rays of the sun, looks like a fairy tale.

The Old Market Square is the central point of the city, where you can admire the beautiful architecture and relax in one of the numerous cafe gardens.
Warmia Brewery and Podzamcze Park
The Warmia Brewery in Olsztyn is also a place worth visiting. It is a working brewery that produces beer based on natural ingredients. The brewery offers the possibility of sightseeing, beer tasting and eating a delicious lunch or dinner.
Okrągła Street in Olsztyn is another interesting place on the map of Poland that is worth seeing from above.
Long Lake in Olsztyn is one of the 16 lakes in this town. The lake is very close to the city center. The Long Lake area is a great place for a walk or a bike trip.

At the beginning, when I started taking pictures using a drone, I flew high and admired the vast panoramas. Now I often fly between buildings or just above rooftops.

Visiting Olsztyn should start with the Old Town, which is a charming place full of cozy cafes and restaurants.
The Fish Market is a square located in the northern part of the Old Town. Most of the buildings in the square are new tenement houses, stylized as original pre-war buildings. At the square there is the House of Gazeta Olsztyńska - a branch of the Museum of Warmia and Mazury.
I always look for interesting places to drone on Google maps while preparing for a photo trip. I found a very interesting-looking Okrągła Street in Olsztyn. If you wanted to fly there with a drone, I recommend that you be especially careful because the airport of the Dajtki Aero Club of Warmia and Mazury is nearby. I recommend flying during the hours when the airport is closed and observing the situation in the air throughout the flight with the drone.
There are legends about this Okragła Street in Olsztyn - you can go on it and go straight ahead all the time. If you lose attention, you will walk for hours :-)
During the May weekend, Olsztyn surprised us with its calmness and a small number of tourists. But to be honest I was not disappointed because I like such a lack of crowds and rush in the city.
Spring view of the Olsztyn Castle
The Castle in Olsztyn in Masuria is a gothic castle that was built in the mid-fourteenth century. The castle is open to visitors, currently. There is the Museum of Warmia and Masuria. You can see the interior of the castle in the photo in the gallery: Tourist attractions in Olsztyn.
There are interesting tenement houses near the castle on Feliksa Nowowiejskiego Street in Olsztyn. The one in the foreground probably refers in style to Antoni Gaudi.
