Dunas de Maspalomas - dunes on the island of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. The width of the dunes reaches 1.5 kilometer. Sunrise in January was nearly eight o'clock so there was no problem to catch on this wonderful show.

Nature creates beautiful sculptures and pictures - just get up in the morning and enjoy the views - I recommend watching the dunes of Maspalomas especially at sunrise - the direction of the light is perfect.

Amazing views of the Maspalomas dunes at sunrise. Wind overnight showered footprints on the sand dunes so in the morning was just beautiful!

These sand dunes have some mesmerizing power. You can admire and photograph them for hours. There are very few people in the morning in this Canarian desert so there are not many tracks and you can take interesting pictures.

The sun rose just before eight in January. There were a few walkers on the dunes, who came to admire the sunrise in this beautiful place.

Many sunbathers walking through the dunes towards the ocean to reach the beach. There are nudist beaches nearby the dunes so quite often you can meet on the nudist.

Walking in the dunes of Maspalomas
During my next trip to Gran Canaria, I couldn't miss the morning walk through the dunes of Maspalomas - it's a delightful place worth coming back to!

The fine desert sand came here with the wind from Africa. It's hard to walk a kilometer or two on it, let alone walk all day... However, it is worth going to the dunes to see how to walk on them and see such landscapes!
