A holiday cruise on The Great Mazurian Lakes in Poland. This was not our first lake cruise. Previously, we sailed a few times and once on a motorboat. This time we went to the SunCamper motor yacht. This is a house on the water - there is a kitchen with a fridge, bathroom, bedrooms, plenty of cabinets, a place to sit inside and outside and the upper deck for sunbathing or sleeping :-) The next time we took the Aquasun 34 motor yacht for another cruise - this is an even larger and more comfortable yacht.
We started our cruise in Węgorzewo and we went to Lake Mamry through the Węgorzewski Canal.

Mamerki - forest settlement on the north-western edge of Mamry Lake. The Mazurski Canal begins here. There is also a small marina - a great place to stay for the night and sightseeing. You can see a complex of German fortifications and bunkers from the Second World War in the surrounding forests. It is possible that the Amber Room is hidden here.

The unfinished Masurian Canal was to connect the Masurian Lakes with the Baltic Sea. There is Mamry Lake and the beginning of the canal in the picture.

Sztynort - yachts in the harbor
You can sail from Mamry Lake to the south through Kirsajty and Dargin lakes to the yacht harbor in Sztynort.

From Sztynort, you can sail south through the Dargin and Kisajno lakes to Giżycko. Such a cruise in Mazury is a great idea for a holiday.

We sailed to Ryn from Giżycko. The water route leads through lakes: Niegocin, Boczne, Jagodne and through the canals to Lake Tałtowisko.

Tourist attractions in Masuria
For me, the main attraction in Masuria is nature. Lakes viewed from the shore do not make a big impression - when you start to sail you can see their greatness and beauty.

Golden lake water at sunset. Holidays on the water is the time to observe and admire the nature - I like this quiet.

We arrived to Mikołajki for the night. It's a real sailing center - taverns, bars, restaurants and sailing songs everywhere. In the summer it is difficult to find a place to moor the yacht. See more photos in the gallery: Mikolajki - Mazury.

A trip on the motor yacht SunCamper on the Mazurian lakes. It's a great way to explore because it is such a sailing home - there is a kitchen with a fridge, bedrooms, bathroom, table in the cabin and outside and upper deck for sunbathing or sleeping :-)

There is a small Ilma island between the lakes Labap and Dargin. From a distance it looks as if several trees were growing in the middle of the lake. A few days on a yacht surrounded by Masurian nature is an ideal way to relax and separate from everyday life.

The views in Masuria are amazing! The sunrises and sunsets are wonderful! I could admire these daily shows endlessly.

Aquasun 34 AftCab is a comfortable and modern yacht with an open roof. In addition, the yacht's batteries are charged by the solar panel and there is no need to spend the night in marinas. It is enough to find a secluded cove, drop anchor and enjoy nature in peace and quiet. I took this photo just after sunrise on Lake Mamry.
