From Piekło Górne (Upper Hell) to the Piekło Dolne (Lower Hell) ... autumn trip around Kashubian forests in search of ancient tombs and maybe even stone circles ... The weather is not very pleasant - gray, overcast and rainy day - just as in November (although this is only half of October) but the most important moment for a few minutes the sun shone ... and how can you not believe the power of the Ancient Gods...

I left the car at the old Protestant Cemetery in Piekło Górne. After a short visit to the cemetery hill I went into the woods to find a much older tombs.
Beautiful beech forest growing on the hills behind the village.
I find the first mounds of stones on the hills in the woods - could it be the ancient burial mounds ... In the surrounding forests were determined at least six archaeological sites of tombs. The oldest are from the early Iron Age.

I found many stone mounds on the top of the hill - unfortunately many of them destroyed or buried by branches and leaves. According to the pre-war arrangements in this area were found about a thousand burial mounds (Kurgans).
