The sun in the Canary Islands goes very fast. The sun suddenly diminishes and disappears behind the horizon in a short time. A few minutes after sunset it gets really dark and it's getting cold. If you intend to stay in the mountains to the west, you must have a flashlight with you and warm clothing with you.
