Several trekking trails start in Landmannalaugar - white, orange and red. The most popular trail in Iceland - Laugavegur - is marked in red. Every year, up to 100,000 tourists travel this 55-kilometre route. Depending on weather conditions, the trail opens in June and closes in September.
