Rural architecture of Żuławy

The arcaded houses are probably the most characteristic buildings in Zulawy Wislane (Vistula River Mouth). These houses in various conditions can be seen in many villages: Żuławki, Trutnowy, Mikoszewo, Osice, Jeziernik, Marynowy. The oldest arcaded house from 1572 is in Gdańsk (Lipce) at the Trakt Świętego Wojciecha 297. There is a nicely preserved house in Nowa Kościelnica in the photo.
