Garachico in Tenerife
The city was destroyed by lava on 5 May 1706 after the eruption of the volcano Trevejo. Garachico it is a very nice tourist attraction now. You can visit the fortress of Castillo de San Miguel, the museum, the old town with typical Canarian architecture and natural pools formed by lava on the ocean shore.
