The Teutonic Castle in Nidzica, built around 1370 by the Grand Master Winrich von Kniprode, served as an important strategic point for the Teutonic Order. Constructed from brick on a stone foundation, it impresses with its Gothic architecture, featuring cloisters, 14th/15th-century frescoes, and distinctive windows. Today, it is a center of culture, business, and entertainment, housing the Nidzica Land Museum, gallery, library, hotel, and restaurant. The Nidzica Commandery's Knight Brotherhood also operates here. Surrounded by a 19th-century park, the castle is a popular tourist destination with free access to the courtyard and outer bailey.
