Yes, Gdynia has a pier located in the charming district of Orłowo. The current pier is 180 meters long and is a popular spot for walks. Its history dates back to World War I when the first jetty, approximately 40 meters long, was built. In the 1920s, the pier was extended to 115 meters, and by 1934 it reached an impressive 430 meters, allowing passenger ships to dock. Unfortunately, a storm in 1949 destroyed a significant part of the structure. It was rebuilt in 1953, and the pier now stands at 180 meters in length. The photo shows a view of the Orłowo pier from the Gdańsk Bay side - an interesting perspective!
