Ustka is a seaside town with a rich past, reflected in its preserved architecture. The oldest part of town, once a small fishing settlement, has retained the charm of half-timbered houses arranged in a traditional oval layout. This was once the site of a medieval fishermen鈥檚 church. Near the port stands a red-brick lighthouse from the late 19th century, still guiding ships to this day. Close by is the distinctive Red Shed - a former rescue station - as well as bunkers and shelters from World War II, built as part of a planned Kriegsmarine base. These wartime remnants still hide underground passages and unsolved mysteries. Among Ustka鈥檚 notable landmarks are also the former spirit warehouse, the historic railway station, and the Church of the Most Holy Saviour. Together, they give the town its unique atmosphere - a blend of history and maritime heritage.
