The Old Town in Starogard Gdański is a picturesque part of the city, where 19th-century buildings with neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque façades create a unique atmosphere. These buildings, constructed after a fire, also feature Gothic cellars dating back to the 14th century. At the center of the market square stands the Town Hall. In 2017, during the market renovation, remnants of the medieval Town Hall were uncovered, including brick walls from the 14th century. Although the walls were buried, the outline of these historical structures is now visible in the square's pavement.
