There are also cycling routes that lead through picturesque areas. The area is also perfect for fishing, especially near Lake Mamry and Lake Święcajty. Węgorzewo is also an ideal spot for sightseeing – the Teutonic Castle, the Ethnographic Park, and the Museum of Railway Traditions are worth visiting. Nearby, you can also explore the German bunkers in Mamerki. If you're interested in World War II history, you can take a longer trip to Gierłoż, where the Wolf's Lair - the main headquarters of Adolf Hitler from 1941 to 1944 - is located.
