Hiking Trails in the Vicinity of Augustów
The area around Augustów offers incredibly picturesque hiking trails that captivate not only with the beauty of nature but also with a wealth of history. The most popular is the yellow trail from Augustów to Mikaszówka, approximately 62 km long, leading through Lake Białe, Lake Długie, and Lake Blizno, as well as the "Jezioro Kajety" Nature Reserve. This trail allows for the discovery of the charms of forest landscapes. Another interesting trail, the blue trail, also connects Augustów with Mikaszówka, passing through nature reserves and historic sites related to the January Uprising. For fans of forest hikes, the green trail is recommended, which follows the Augustów Canal to beautiful reserves. Regardless of the chosen trail, hiking in the Augustów area is an excellent opportunity to relax in close contact with nature and to discover the region's unique fauna and flora.
