Lake Busznica is located on the Augustów Plain in the Augustów Forest and is the deepest lake entirely situated within the Augustów County. It is characterized by an oval shape and a poorly developed shoreline, which is almost 100% covered by a pine forest. The lake's bottom has a funnel-shaped profile, sloping gently at first and then steeply, giving it an incredible appearance from above - like an Eye of the Augustów Forest. The dimensions of Busznica are 950 m in length and 725 m in width, with a maximum depth of 48.0 m. This body of water belongs to the char waters, making it an attractive place for anglers. Various fish species inhabit the lake, including pike, bream, roach, eel, and perch.
