Augustów and its surroundings are an ideal location for photographers and filmmakers using drones. The absence of no-fly zones and national parks makes the airspace open for creative aerial work. Additionally, the state border is far enough away, so there's no need to request special flight permissions, allowing for greater freedom in capturing stunning aerial shots.

Boat Trips on the Augustów Canal

Boat Trips on the Augustów Canal

The Augustów Canal is 101 km long and was built in the 19th century as an important communication route, connecting the tributaries of the Vistula River with the Baltic Sea via the Neman and Biebrza rivers, bypassing the lower Vistula. The entire canal complex includes 18 locks that facilitate navigating the height differences in the terrain and ease navigation between lakes and rivers. It serves not only as a transport route but also as a significant cultural and historical element, listed as a historical monument. Boat trips on the Augustów Canal offer a fascinating adventure that allows you to discover the charming corners of the region. The journey begins at the port of Augustów, where the boat sails along the Netta River toward Lake Necko. After passing through Lake Necko, the cruise continues along the Klonownica River, the shortest navigable river in Poland, leading to Lake Białe, which captivates with its bright green waters and rich birdlife. The boat then heads toward Lake Studzieniczne, passing through the Przewzięź Lock. In this picturesque area, you can explore the town of Studzieniczna, known for its beautiful Sanctuary and sacred monuments. Drones for Photography

Drones for Photography

Drones for photography have become an incredibly popular tool in the photography world, offering new possibilities to capture the surrounding environment from a completely different perspective. Thanks to advanced technology, modern drones are equipped with high-quality cameras that enable impressive resolution and detail in images. Utilizing drones in landscape, architectural, or event photography allows for the creation of unique shots that draw attention. However, it is essential to remember the regulations regarding their use to ensure safety and respect the privacy of others. Currently, the most popular drones are from DJI, which offer decent photo quality even in their smallest models. However, if you plan to make large prints or photograph in challenging lighting conditions, it is worth investing in drones with larger sensors, such as 1-inch or larger, like the DJI Mavic Air 2S, DJI Mavic 3, Autel EVO Lite+, or Autel EVO II Pro V2. It is also important to ensure that the drone saves images in RAW/DNG format, which allows for significantly better quality photography and facilitates later editing in graphic software.
