The Municipal Office in Augustów is located at Młyńska 35, in a renovated building that was formerly a school, near the Netta River. The spacious and modern interiors will now house all the departments of the municipal office, significantly easing life for both officials and residents. The building was erected at the initiative of the local community as a monument to mark the 10th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence. During World War II, it was occupied by invaders, and after the war, education resumed in the building. In 1997, the patronage of Marshal Józef Piłsudski was restored. The revitalization that began in 2018 is the largest such undertaking in the history of Augustów, giving new purpose to this historic site.
