Jakub Wejher, the founder of the city of Wejherowo, was a figure of exceptional determination and vision. Born in 1609, he was not only a soldier but also a politician and social activist. His name is primarily associated with the rebuilding of the burned village of Wejherowo and granting it city rights in 1650. Jakub Wejher was also the founder of numerous religious and secular buildings, including the Church of the Holy Trinity and the City Hall, which still form the heart of the city today.
