A spring morning in May in Wejherowo in Poland provided perfect conditions for a short drone flight, which lasted only 18 minutes. During this time, we managed to capture several photos of the market square, buildings along Jana III Sobieskiego Street, churches, and the city panorama. From a bird's-eye view, we can admire the city and its landmarks, surrounded by picturesque hills covered with beautiful beech forests. We invite you to view these unique shots that show Wejherowo from a completely new perspective.

A bird's-eye view of the market square in Wejherowo. I always like to look at the market square from above in the cities where I fly my drone - it's a way to see how the space was precisely built and laid out in the past. I must admit, everything looks quite nice and evenly arranged here.
The City Hall, located at Jakuba Wejhera Square 8, houses the City Office. Inside the City Hall, there is also the Wejherowo Tradition and History Room, where visitors can view an extensive exhibition related to the city's origins. The exhibits include the family tree of the Wejher family, documents from the era signed by King Jan Kazimierz, and regional artifacts such as old Kashubian instruments, firefighter helmets, snuff boxes, and traditional costumes with Kashubian embroidery. Additionally, visitors can admire a pre-war bakers' guild cup, Haller's ring, architectural plans of the city hall, and the impressive Kashubian Alphabet, created using the sgraffito technique on the wall of the room.

The fountain with sculptures of animals and Saint Francis at Jakub Wejher Square is one of the city's many tourist attractions.
Jakub Wejher, the founder of the city of Wejherowo, was a figure of exceptional determination and vision. Born in 1609, he was not only a soldier but also a politician and social activist. His name is primarily associated with the rebuilding of the burned village of Wejherowo and granting it city rights in 1650. Jakub Wejher was also the founder of numerous religious and secular buildings, including the Church of the Holy Trinity and the City Hall, which still form the heart of the city today.
Flying a drone in Wejherowo offers extraordinary opportunities to capture the beauty of this picturesque city from above. However, drone enthusiasts should be aware of certain restrictions, especially around the Old Town area. Near the detention center in this part of the city, DJI has set a no-fly zone. To fly in this area, DJI drone users must unlock this zone on the website beforehand. Moreover, during the flight, it is crucial to exercise extra caution to avoid approaching the detention center area, which is essential for ensuring safety and compliance with aviation regulations. I've marked the detention center on Google Maps, so be careful not to go there.
