Water tower in Frombork

Water tower in Frombork

There is an unusual monument - the water tower at the foot of the Cathedral Hill. The tower was built in 1572 over the canal supplying the city with fresh water from the Bauda River. There was a mechanism in the tower that used the water current to pump it up to a height of 25 meters in order to deliver it through a wooden pipeline to the Cathedral Hill. There is an observation deck at the top of the building that you can enter to admire the panorama of the city.
