Wda, also known as the Czarna Woda (Black Water), is a river in northern Poland and a left tributary of the Vistula. It stretches 198 km and begins its course in Lake Krążno near Bytów. The river flows through the picturesque Kashubia region, including lakes like Wdzydze, Gołuń, and Słupinko, before passing through the Tuchola Forest. Wda meanders, forming bends and gorges, with forested banks that add to its scenic charm. It is one of the most interesting rivers in Poland for kayaking, offering a mix of calm stretches and more challenging sections with boulders in the current. Check out my story from kayaking on the Wda.
